»Wrap«

Well wrapped - Pillows, cell phone bags, pencil cases – (almost) everything is permitted. By multiple request we offer hereby a new competition for all the adventurous FUN-readers – with the wide-ranging title: »Wrap«

What is meant by that?

Everything that offers protection and warmth, that can cover bodies or things and decorate them at the same time: Accessories like cowls for the neck and the shoulders, cuffs, book covers, laptop bags and other bags (shopper, clutch, cell phone bag, pillow, cases for CDs, games, toys, jewelry …)

Which techniques and materials are permitted?

The base material has to be wool and you have to felt by hand. In addition, you are allowed to use any technique that you can realize with wool, yarns and further material (pearls, bands, fabrics, silk fibres and fabrics etc.): Felting,
surface designing with embellisher or felting needle, knitting, crocheting,
embroidering, sewing by hand and machine, dyeing, lace-making etc. You
may also use other material like metal and wood.

There is another creative »charge«:

The wrap shall contain fabrics and/or
buttons from »Stoff-Schmiede« as an eyecatcher.

We introduce our favorites in the issue Nr. 32. At the same time we open a picture gallery here. There we show all the sent-in works. The four favorites will be awarded
a prize: a batch of buttons (9 pieces), a meter of appropriate cotton-classic
in your desired design, and two gallery books of your own choice by
MaroVerlag.

Deadline for the pictures of the finished works: June 15th 2011.

They should show the complete work of every side and with detailed pictures. Please send the photos in printable quality (300 dpi,
